Discover the Power of the Pathway Conversations™ Framework

The Framework

The Pathway Conversations™ framework puts groups on a clear path to their best possible future through high engagement and practical action. It’s designed for real-world results.

Using focused conversations based on the neuroscience of collaborative agency, groups move from friction to traction. People shift from unproductive, broken discussions to productive, built conversations through four conversations—Learning, Assumptions, Questions, and Actions.

Everyone is engaged in building new possibilities through questioning their assumptions.

Because it is based in neuroscience it works every time.

The Story

The origins of Pathway Conversations™ began 30 years ago as “The Idea Garden” and its social architecture is inspired by Liberating Structures like Open Space, The Art of Hosting, and Flawless Planning. The current iteration of the framework, refined by Jack Richiuto and Jane Rogan, is described in Jack’s new book, Engaged Curiosity: A guide to realistic planning in organizations and communities, Jack Ricchiuto (2025, Nuance Works).

For an overview of the Pathway Conversations™ framework read the seminal Substack pieces: Pathways That Take Us Somewhere and The Science-based Power of the Pathway Conversations™ Framework.
